Test Mode:
The bark box features a test mode designed to verify the functionality of the bark control device. To initiate the test, simply blow onto the device while in the Test Setting. (Note: Blowing to trigger is only applicable in Test Mode.)

How to Record

• Set the anti-barking device to REC Mode, and the LED light will flash in green for 5 seconds.

• Allow your dog to bark directly at the ultrasonic bark control device for more than 2 seconds; the device will emit a buzz, and the green light will flash once within 30 seconds, indicating that a barking sample has been recorded.

• Choose the low/med/high level setting to enable the bark box to operate automatically.

Kind Note:

• Ensure a quiet surrounding environment for successful recording.

• Alternatively, you can pre-store your dog’s barking sample on your phone and use it for recording.

Tips:

• To prevent your dog from losing sensitivity, activate the device only during periods when you want to curb barking.

• • For extended battery life, turn off the anti-barking device when not in use.

    What is ultrasonic sound?
    Ultrasonic sound is beyond the hearing range of humans but is attention-grabbing and irritating to dogs. It serves as a safe and effective tool for dog training by redirecting your dog’s focus from barking to the high-pitched sound.

    Will this work for whining or howling?
    If the Dog Silencer is in proximity to the dog, adjusting the microphone sensitivity higher may pick up howling or whining. If not successful, consider exploring other bark control devices from our shop. Additionally, keep in mind that howling or whining may be due to discomfort, fear, or anxiety, which should be addressed with a veterinarian rather than using a bark control system as punishment.

    Is there a volume dial?
    No, there is no volume control by design. The device’s volume is pre-set and will automatically fluctuate to keep the dog guessing. The training sounds will consistently reach up to 75 feet (90 m) with a clear line of sight.

    Can I use it with a puppy?
    We do not recommend using the Anti-Barking Device on puppies under 1 year of age. Please consult your veterinarian for guidance.

    How long before I should expect results?
    While some customers experience immediate results, others may see effects within a few days. The device is a training tool, and the timeframe for results depends on how quickly the dog associates the sound with its barking. It’s normal for dogs to bark at the unit initially, and we recommend giving the device two to three weeks for optimal results.

    Does it have to be on all the time?
    For optimal results, the unit should be on and in use near the dog at all times. It will enter standby mode when the dog is not barking.
    

    Will this work through fences, walls, windows, or bushes?

    No, the high-pitched sounds emitted by our training devices cannot penetrate solid objects such as wood fences, windows, walls, or thick shrubbery. However, sparse trees, window screens, chain link, and wrought-iron fences should not pose an issue.

    Can I use it with an invisible or electric fence?

    We advise against using any ultrasonic bark control devices in conjunction with invisible fence systems. The sound frequencies emitted by our devices closely resemble those from invisible fence collars, potentially causing confusion and interfering with the dog’s training.

    Will it hurt or harm the dog in any way?

    No, it will not. Our products are designed to be safe and humane, intended solely to curb excess or nuisance barking. The high-pitched training sounds are not painful or harmful, and they won’t prevent a dog from barking out of instinct, such as alerting to an intruder.

    Although not harmful, the emitted sounds may be too intense for puppies under one year of age as they are still developing their hearing. It’s recommended to consult your veterinarian before using this product with puppies.
